A retired business executive, Pete Nesbitt has pursued his deep interest in paleontology.  He has conducted intensive research in the subject, participated in digs in eastern Montana, and has acquired the skill of cleaning even the most delicate fossils.  His knowledge and experience has made him a sought-after speaker to various organizations and schools.

Dr. Steve Nicklas was born in Lock Haven, PA in 1956.  He graduated from Lycoming College in 1978 with a BA in Near Eastern Archaeology and Political Science.  In 1981 he graduated from Drew University with a Masters in Roman/Byzantine Archaeology and finally in 1988 he graduated from the University of London, Institute of Archaeology with a Ph.D. in Field Archaeology and Archaeology of the Roman Provinces.  Since 1973 he has participated in over 200 Archaeological and Paleontological excavations.  Between the years 1978 and 1985 he worked in Contract Archaeology for a number of firms in the metro Atlanta area.  In 1985, while in graduate school in London, he established PFR Reproductions.  The company produced millions of archaeological reproductions from 1985 until 1996.   In 1996 Dr. Nicklas founded Paleo Prospectors, a company which enables average families to participate in paleontological field surveys and excavations. To date Paleo Prospectors has had over 800 participants and has made over 100 museum quality discoveries.
